for assisting Fr. John with both St. Bernard and Our Lady of
Lourdes Church. He has dedicated his life to God, retired
and is still eager to continue to serve the Lord and help
whenever needed. |

Deacon Norbert Billiot, Jr. |
 |
|
Deacon Billiot was a resident of St.
Bernard Parish for most of his life. Since 2005 he has
resided in Abita Springs, LA. He graduated from St. Bernard
High School in 1977. In 1982 Deacon Billiot married Carol
Acosta Billiot and in 1984 they had their only child, a
daughter, Christina. Christina is now married to Andrew
Montz II and they also reside in Abita Springs.
Deacon Billiot was a heavy equipment operator for the Lake
Borgne Basin Levee District before retiring after 33 years
of work there. He is now a chaplain with Notre Dame Hospice
here in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
In 2006 Deacon Billiot entered formation for the diaconate
after discerning this call for several years. Deacon Billiot
was ordained a deacon in December of 2010. His first
assignment has been at Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernard
Church. |
