Through Catholic Charities’ monthly commodity program, Our Lady of Lourdes Church will have distributions on the 4th Friday of each month. The next distribution is:

8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
Each recipient must meet federal income guidelines. Proof of income and state residency is required.

Raffle Tickets and Oyster Festival Goods

Raffle tickets are available in the gathering area. If every family would take at least one book of 10 tickets that would be a great help. T-Shirts, Aprons and Hats are also on sale in the gathering area.

We are in need of more Altar Servers. This is a great opportunity to serve the Church, to learn more about the Mass, and to grow closer to God with other young men and women.

No Evening Mass On September 19th

Fr. Bryan will be attending the Convocation of Priests from September 19th — 21st. Mass on Tuesday, September 19th, will be held at 8:00 AM. There will be no evening Mass on Tuesday, Sept. 19th, and no Masses on Wednesday and Thursday, September 20th & 21st. Communion services will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday.

Liturgy for Victims and Survivors of Violence

On Sunday October 15th Archbishop Aymond will celebrate the annual liturgy for Victims and Survivors of Violence. If you or someone you know has been affected by violence and would like to participate in this special mass, please call the office.


Gathering and Introductory Meeting
Wednesday September 14th at 7:00 PM in the rectory.

Adults considering entering the Catholic Church follow a process known as the RCIA — the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church, either to become a member, or as a Catholic to deepen and enrich your knowledge, RCIA classes will begin September 14th, 2017 at 7:00 PM. All are welcome!

Oyster Festival Preparations

Every month, the fair committee will ask each family to donate one item to the Oyster Festival.

Donations requested in September: Par-boiled rice, and Heavy duty paper plates
Additionally, please consider donating any new or “gently” used stuffed animals to the game booths to be used as prizes.
